This is the LAST Proverbs 31 post because this is the LAST verse of Proverbs 31! Let’s recap:
Being a godly woman is hard, but worth it.
She is trusted by her husband and she enriches her husband’s life.
She brings him good every day.
She eagerly works.
She uses resources wisely.
She is strong.
She is prepared and a hard worker.
She embraces her femininity.
She welcomes the needy.
She works hard and God is faithful.
She is content to be who God made her to be.
Her husband is respected.
She is honorable and trusts God.
She faithfully speaks wisdom.
She is blessed by her family.
She is noble.
She fears the Lord.
There is so much truth in Proverbs 31. This is just the beginning, though. God’s word is living and active. Study it yourself and let God speak to you.
The last verse is an end statement to all of the other stuff. It finishes it.
Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
The Proverb ends the same way it starts. It says “This is good.” This is what a woman should be! This is what is good and honorable and praise worthy!
This being said, you may be striving to be a Proverbs 31 woman and you might not ever hear a “Good job.” You might be ridiculed for your choices. You might be looked down upon for your approach. This chapter speaks God’s truth, but the world speaks its lies.
Let this verse be the “good job” that you need to hear today. Let it sing “keep it up” to your heart. You ARE doing what is best, if you are doing what God says. No matter how it feels, this is the truth. Remember Galatians 6:9:
Let us not become weary in doing good,
for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
This has been a wonderful blessing, to walk through Proverbs 31 and dig in deep. I hope that you have enjoyed it, also. May God bless you as you strive towards His best each day!
I thought I would finish off this series with two printables. Enjoy!
